The subdivision is comprised of 23 cottage lots on Crown land and 64 cottage lots on privately owned land by Bay River Developments. Bay River Developments was developed to provide a revenue stream for Fisher River Economic Development Corporation through the promotion and sale of cottage lots.
 
Bay River Developments subdivision is situated 5 minutes north of Fisher River Cree Nation and is located on the west side of Lake Winnipeg adjacent to Fisher Bay. The subdivision is approximately 200 kilometers north of Winnipeg and is connected to the paved provincial highway system through PR#224.
